Verdict
Early form: a clever, free way to make decks you and your AI can both edit, with no account and no cloud. Not a drop-in for a company PowerPoint template.
What it is
One file, the whole deck. Email it and it still works.
Bento puts a slide deck, its editor and its player in a single offline HTML file. The slide content sits in a plain JSON block, so you can hand the file to ChatGPT, Claude or a coding agent and get an edited deck back. It has morph animations, live charts, video, and optional live collaboration through an end-to-end encrypted relay. Free and MIT licensed. Slides are the only app so far; notes and sheets are listed as coming soon.

Best for
- Decks you want an AI to edit directly
- Sharing a deck that opens anywhere, offline
Watch-outs
- Teams locked into PowerPoint or Google Slides templates
- Anyone who wants no AI mentions at all (it is built around them)
